New Resources Available to help Incorporated Associations Review their Rules (Constitution)
The introduction of the of the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 means that education and care services who are incorporated associations need to consider updating their Rules or Constitution to reflect changes in legislation. CCC's Response to the Budget Based Funding Program Review CCC welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the review of this important program, ensuring the children all over Australia have accessible and affordable high quality early childhood education and care. We are aware of the enormous untapped potential for expanded contributions to our national wellbeing from children's services that are Aboriginal controlled, mobile to serve rural and remote families, genuinely available on an occasional basis and/or innovative models to meet the unique needs of particular communities that cannot be met through mainstream government funding programs.

CCC's response welcomed the aspirational tone of the rating and recommended a rigorous assessment process, with qualified and experienced assessors and to be accompanied by initiatives to assist smaller, less resourced services ready themselves to apply for the excellent rating. Quality Care for Children is Worth the Cost!
CCC is working hard to get the truth into our newspapers. Commercial child care providers are irresponsible in scaring families and communities with threats of outrageously high increases in child care costs in the New Year. Recent threats of a $25 per day increase in child care fees are nothing more than propaganda attempting to blackmail the government to prevent improvements in the minimum standard of quality that Australian children deserve.
