Who is Australian Community Children's Services?
ACCS advocates nationally for the right of Australia’s children to access quality not for profit, community children’s services
ACCS is committed to:

What is ACCS?
ACCS is the peak body representing Australia’s not-for-profit community owned children’s services and those who support the right of children to access these services.
What are Community Owned Children’s Services?
Community children’s services are operated as social enterprises, delivering high quality financially viable services which deliver public infrastructure for the long term; they are operated by a range of not-for-profit providers including local government, churches, educational institutions, parent associations/co-operatives and other non-government organisations.
They include centre based early childhood education and care (long day care/ kindergarten/ preschool) and occasional care, outside school hours care, and home based care such as family day care and in-home care. Community children’s services include emerging models of integrated child and family centres, and flexible innovative models for rural communities and for children and families with additional needs.
These services foster children’s development, support their families and build the community.

Community Child Care Victoria manages the Secretariat function for ACCS from their offices in Melbourne. To contact the National Secretariat email ausccs@cccinc.org.au or phone 03 9486 3455. To facilitate the maintenance of strong working relationships ACCS holds two national meetings a year for the executive and interested members. Other discussion and communication occurs through electronic processes.
ACCS - Victorian Branch
As a member of Community Child Care Victoria you automatically enjoy membership of the Victorian Branch of Australian Community Children's Services (ACCS). This association has a long and proud history of advocating for community owned children's services in Australia. There are active branches in most states and territories, and the association lobbies the Federal Government directly and participates in important national forums such as the National Children's Services Forum.
The National Convenor of ACCS is Prue Warrilow and the National Secretary is Barbara Romeril, Executive Director of Community Child Care Victoria.
