The community managed and not-for profit sector is an efficient provider of high-quality education and care, particularly in areas of greatest need. Community Child Care Association and Community Early Learning Australia, as the two leading peaks in the community managed and not-for-profit sector, welcome the opportunity to support regulatory reform. Our critical reflections on the proposed policy options for reform are based on our deep level of experience and knowledge of evidence. This will strengthen the evidence base which will inform impactful and necessary changes to drive an urgent uplift in quality and safety across the sector.

The education and care sector has a track record of supporting successful large-scale national reforms. We are ready for the next phase of reform to achieve better outcomes for children.
